Use Essential Oils during Seasonal Respiratory Challenges

There are many essential oils to bring the inflammation levels down and get quick relief. Used together, the combination of lavender, lemon and peppermint essential oils, have proven to be quite effective for most people dealing with these issues.
Relief of symptoms –
* combine 3 drops each of lemon, lavender and peppermint in an empty gelatin capsule and swallow with lots of water 3 times a day.

Bugs Love Summer Too!
Another seasonal issue when being outdoors is the bug thing. Whether you are trying to keep them from invading your picnic, or stinging and biting you, covering your skin with a safe, protective layer of certain essential oils can keep those little pests at bay without
the use of harmful pesticides. Just think how many people are spraying very harmful chemicals on themselves and their kids to stop being bitten. The same oils can also work on the pain and swelling if one of the little lovelies do bite you. This requires that you have the oils at hand, using them as both prevention and an antidote to apply quickly to the area affected.
The most effective oils for pest control, bites and stings are
Terrashield and Purify blends to repel – * rub onto bottom of the feet, * put 12-15 drips in a 2 oz bottle of water and spray on the skin, * add 5 drops of essential oil to 1 TBSP fractionated coconut oil and rub on the skin.
Other oils that repel bugs are patchouli, basil, lemongrass, cedarwood, eucalyptus and thyme.
If bitten or stung, lavender, Roman chamomile, or Terrashield may be the best oils for soothing.

The Heat Is On!
The sun and heat of summer may bring on sunburn and overheating to your body. Never fear, we have oils for that as well. Use doTERRA essential oils to bring fast relief from summertime challenges.
Lavender is well-known to calm, soothe and alleviate the pain of burns and sunburns.Make sure you have the true lavendula augustifolia and not a hybrid or some essential oil with a synthetic extender in it that will aggravate the burn. Use only oils that are tested by an independent third party laboratory so you can trust the quality. Every liter of essential oil is tested in this way before it gets the CPTG standard from doTERRA. Peppermint is the oil that will cool you off in an instant. It can also relieve a headache and indigestion.
Peppermint to cool you – *place a drop or two in your water and drink throughout the day, *diffuse into the air, * apply a drop to the back of the neck 2 times a day and, using your fingers, tap lightly over the thymus, just below the notch in your neck, * place 15 drops of peppermint into a 2 oz spray bottle, fill with water, and shake to mix each time to spray yourself.
